TERMS OF SERVICE
By booking through our website, phone, text messages, or emails, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Smart Cleanin is a domestic referral agency specializing in commercial and house cleaning referrals. We refer vetted, reliable, and professional house cleaning workers who are passionate about their work, skilled in professional cleaning, and possess years of experience. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have, and we will gladly provide answers.
Service providers operate independently and are not under our control or direction. They are typically engaged in the independently established occupation of housekeeping.
Payment for services rendered is due at the commencement of the job. The client agrees to provide a valid method of payment before the job begins. For first-time customers, we may place a temporary hold on the provided credit card the day before the first service. In the event of an unsuccessful transaction, Smart Cleanins will make reasonable attempts to contact the client. If contact cannot be made successfully, we reserve the right to cancel the service by 2 pm on the day before the scheduled cleaning.
The final assessment of the job’s duration is determined by the service provider upon arrival. Any inaccurately or dishonestly communicated cleaning requests may be subject to a price adjustment. All adjustments will be communicated to the client for discussion before any changes are made or before the job is completed. The client will have the option to either agree to the proposed price adjustment or pay the originally quoted amount, with no guarantee of full service completion.
All new customers must conduct a walk-through both before and after the cleaning to ensure clear communication and satisfactory results. If the walk-through is skipped for any reason, neither the agency nor the service provider will be held responsible for any requests for re-cleaning or touch-ups. The final walk-through releases Smart Cleanin or the domestic worker from any further obligations. Additional requests will incur charges accordingly.
The customer commits to providing a safe working environment free of biohazards or toxic materials for the referred service provider. Access to all areas of the premises, as well as necessary utilities and services such as cold/hot water and electricity within the worker’s reach, must be ensured for satisfactory job completion. Heavy items should be moved before the service provider arrives if the customer wishes to have those areas cleaned. The customer is also responsible for securing any pets inside the household during the service.
The domestic worker affirms that they possess the necessary qualifications, skills, and experience to independently perform all services requested by and provided to the client, without requiring advice, control, or supervision from the Agency. The worker accepts full responsibility for ensuring satisfactory service delivery to the client. Should the client raise any complaints about service quality, work performed, damages, theft, or any other issues occurring during service provision, it is the provider’s sole responsibility to address these directly with the client. If Smart Cleanin receives any such complaints or concerns, the Agency agrees to promptly notify the provider so they can resolve the matter directly with the client. Smart Cleanin assumes no liability, and the client agrees to indemnify the Agency against any claims, losses, costs, fees, liabilities, damages, or other harm arising from the actions or unsatisfactory performance of the worker.
The client agrees not to hire any referred service provider directly during the term of this Agreement and for nine (9) months after termination of services without notifying Smart Cleanin of the scheduled services. If services are initiated or additional services are provided without informing Smart Cleanin, the client agrees to pay the Agency a finder’s fee of $1,500.
The agency does not act as the employer of the domestic worker assigned to the client. The client understands that depending on the professional relationship established with the assigned domestic worker, they may bear employer responsibilities, including potential liability for state and/or federal employment taxes incurred during the engagement. Furthermore, the client acknowledges that the agency will not be held responsible. The client agrees to indemnify the agency against any claims, losses, costs, fees, liabilities, damages, or injuries resulting from the client’s failure to fulfill these tax obligations.
This Agreement may be signed with original, facsimile, or electronic signatures, each of which shall be considered an original and enforceable against the signing party.
